As the SEC Reporting Manager, you will act as a relentless champion of excellence in financial reporting, collaborating with finance teammates and other departments to ensure the accuracy, regulatory compliance, timeliness, clarity, and style of the company’s public financial statements and disclosures.
Essential Job Duties/Key Accountabilities:
- Draft and maintain support for public filings and disclosures including Forms 10-K, 10-Q & 8-K
- Prepare statement of cash flows and equity roll-forward quarterly
- Maintain ongoing collaboration with general accounting function to ensure that transactions are captured appropriately in the financial statements
- Work closely with investor relations function on the preparation of quarterly earnings release materials and other public-facing financial documents
- Assist in ongoing monitoring and interpretation of evolving accounting guidance and research and recommend accounting treatments for complex transactions
- Manage monthly accounting for stock-based compensation and collaborate with human resources and legal functions on day-to-day plan administration tasks
- Communicate with external and internal auditors regarding financial reporting matters
- Tackle other ad-hoc finance projects, including benchmarking and analyses, as needed
- Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance
- CPA (Required)
- 5+ years work experience in public company, SEC reporting and/or Big 4 or regional public accounting with large public clients (Preferred)
- Strong technical accounting skills and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements (Required)
- Competency with regard to accounting and disclosures for stock-based compensation under ASC 718 (Preferred)
- Proven ability to thoroughly research and document new and existing accounting guidance
- Exemplary written and verbal skills and a talent for building relationships at all organizational levels
- Impeccable attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to multi-task on a variety of complex projects
